My wife talked me into going to see The Housemaid, and honestly, it was pretty good. I’ll give her this one. Hopefully she doesn’t read this and start thinking she’s in charge of picking movies now.

Sydney Sweeney takes a housekeeping job with a rich family, and pretty quickly you realize nobody in this house has their shit together. Nice place, though.

I called the twist to my wife while we were sitting in the theater. Won’t spoil it, but something about the husband felt off. Everyone else is losing their minds, and he’s just hanging around being handsome and understanding. Yeah, okay, buddy.

The acting was okay. Nothing unbelievable, but it did the job. I was more interested in finding out what was wrong with these people anyway.

It gets a little ridiculous, but it’s entertaining and keeps things moving. Even figuring out where it was going didn’t ruin it for me. If anything, it gave me something to be annoying about on the ride home.

Final thoughts: Actually entertaining . My wife was right about going.
